Frequently Asked Questions | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The box seems to slide around somewhat in the back of my vehicle. What can I do to prevent this? |
It depends on what you have for flooring in the vehicle. We have seen one person use a "no-slip" pad for a mat and it works well. We have used narrow strips of safety grips for stairs on carpeted interiors and that too works well. |

Do I require extra locks? If so, how many? Can I use a cable lock? |
The CORVUS® box does not require additional locks. The 3 latches have built in locks and require only one key to operate. |
What can I transport in my CORVUS® box? |
Essentially anything. Liquids should be contained in sealed containers. Hazardous materials, such as gasoline, must be transported in the appropriate, certified containers. |

How do I measure my vehicle to be certain that there is sufficient space for the CORVUS® box? |
To determine whether or not the CORVUS® box will fit in your vehicle, please follow the instructions below: 1 - Measure the width of the cargo area at the narrowest point. This is generally at the wheel wells. This width, at the narrowest point, must be at least 30 inches. 2 - The depth of the CORVUS® box is 18 inches. You will require at least that depth in the cargo area, with the rear seats in the upright position. The angle at which the back of the rear seats recline will have a bearing on how much additional space may be required. 3 - Expanded to function as a bed liner, the CORVUS® box requires an area 48 inches deep, to open fully. In most cases, this will only be done when the back seats are folded down. This is also a good time to verify that there is at least 30 inches of clear width at the narrowest point. NOTE: If there is any doubt as to whether or not the CORVUS® box will fit properly in the back of your vehicle, please contact us directly for assistance. |

Are there any safety issues regarding the use of the CORVUS® box? |
The first safety concern, over and above the proper handling and storage of goods in a vehicle, is the weight of the box when loaded with goods. If the combined weight of the box and its contents are more than you can safely and comfortably move, don't move it. Empty, the box weighs approximately 20 pounds. The second issue is that the box should not be moved when it is expanded into its liner configuration. |

Where does the name CORVUS® come from? |
CORVUS® comes from the Latin word for raven. In mythology and folklore the raven is generally recognized as the world’s greatest shapeshifter, able to change into anything or anyone that it wishes. As the ability to change shapes is one of the key features of the CORVUS® box, it seemed to be an appropriate choice for a name. |
